Station Road, Hampton Wick

This project involved replacing an existing dated residential block with new high quality retirement living apartments. The massing sits roughly within the footprint of the existing, whilst apartments are orientated to ensure dual aspect units with South, or West, facing living rooms and balconies. The top floor consists of a large penthouse and associated roof terrace.

 

The architecture has been designed to reflect neighbouring properties through materiality, detailing, and balconies that echo the two storey bay windows prevalent on the street. The smaller Station Road facade seeks to mirror, through restrained fenestration and bays windows, the chimneyed facade of the property at the other end of Station Road, providing pleasing symmetry.
